Sadly Debit Card Fraud has become a way of life. However, there are steps you can take to ensure your account remains secure. Regularly check your account online to see if there are any suspicious transactions that have occurred. Be cautious if you are unsure about a call or text message you’ve received. If anything looks “wrong”, be proactive and give us a call. Please note, our debit card processor will reach out to you if there is suspicious activity on your account simply to confirm it was you doing the transactions. It is important that you take the call or call them back. When they do call you, they will NEVER ask you for your PIN or the 3 digit security code on the back of your card. Don’t give them out to anyone, no matter whay they say. Hang up and call the Credit Union directly or call our debit card processor fraud department at 1-800-472-3272.
The Credit Union has introduced a new tool called CardValet. It is a mobile app that will help you manage your card and the transactions that are processing. Be sure to look for new information coming out in the next few weeks! Call us any time at 609-625-6928 with questions or concerns!
